ℹ️ This guide contains a general overview of the step-by-step workflow of a user/scorer must follow to record signatures in the Snow Volley e-Scoresheet software.
The signature workflow´s purpose
To collect the required approval for the official scoresheet.
Team captains are required to sign pre-match information before the match starts. If for any reason, signatures cannot be collected, the scorer can choose to ignore them. Users can continue to line up and return to collect signatures via the edit form for the coin toss.
Depending on the officiating staff, the match finalization sign-off widget will require the user to collect various signatures. All relevant signatures must be collected or ignored to finalize the match and scoresheet. After finalization, signatures and scoresheet cannot be edited.
Be advised that Pre and post-match signatures do not save if they exceed 32kb. Also, later, they are not visible on the scoresheet.
If at any point during the Coin Toss procedure, the application displays a notification error message saying: "The maximum message size of 32768B was exceeded". Do as follows:
This error is related to one of the signatures being too big. The scorer should edit the Coin Toss action to try either having the player re-do the signature or ignoring it. As follows.
Edit the Coin Toss action, either by clicking on the action itself on the action log on the right side of the screen:
Or by opening the full action log and opening the Coin Toss action from there:
Then click to access the conflicting signature:
And, finally, either re-do the signature or ignore it, then click on "save & close" and on "save changes":
Signatures
Consider that if a signature is fine, a button changes its color. But, if it fails to save it, the signature has to be retaken.
