Product overview
ScoreLink+ interfaces directly to the scoreboard controller, decodes the data and allows the data to be accessed locally over a TCP Connection or via Genius Cloud Servers.
The scoreboard connection can be wired or wireless depending on the option ordered. Other equipment on the venue LAN, such as streaming systems, graphics generators and displays - can also use the data.

OLED Display
There are 5 menu pages in total. To switch between them press the control button. At the bottom of every page there is a page number, bot number, and a 4-character indicator that provides status about the state of the data and decoding:
C – Cloud (Cloud server is available)
D – Data (data from scoreboard is present)
V – Valid (scoreboard data is valid for the protocol selected)
- 1 for Laird chip (Daktronics, All American, Eversan, Electromech)
- 2 for Digi Chip F (Fairplay)
- 3 for Digi Chip O (Oes)
- Current software version.
- eth0: the IP address of the Ethernet interface, or N/C in case of no connection.
- wlan0: the IP address of the Wi-Fi Interface or N/C in case of no connection.
- Vendor: a number that represents the brand of the current scoreboard selected for use.
- Code: a number that represents the sport and communication protocol of the scoreboard controller in use.
- Data decoded from the scoreboard controller.
- Above the dashed line is the position of the data.
- Below the dashed line is the actual data decoded.
If the Access Point is ON, it displays:
- HTTP address of the config web page.
- The Access Point password.
To turn on the Wi-Fi, push the control button for 3 seconds until the display shows the message "Starting AP".
Status: The ScoreLink+ data emulation status ON or OFF.
1️⃣ To turn on the data emulation, push the control button for approximately 3 seconds.
2️⃣ The display will show the message: Starting Emulate.
3️⃣ The data emulated can be seen on page 3 after emulation is on.
Installation process
1️⃣Connect the ScoreLink+ to the venue network. This can be done with an Ethernet Cable or a Wi-Fi connection:

network via the network port. 2. If the venue port has POE (Power Over Ethernet) available, and the ScoreLink+ has the POE option - the power supply will not be necessary. If the venue’s network does not have POE - please, use the A/C Adapter to power the device. 3. Check page 1 on the OLED Display, make sure the field eth0 shows a valid IP address (i.e., 192.168.1.8). |
2️⃣ Connect ScoreLink+ to the scoreboard controller using the included multi-interface cable. Depending on the hardware available, it would be needed to connect all the plugs to the controller.
3️⃣ Open a web browser and enter the IP address listed on page 1 of the OLED display for the Ethernet or Wi-Fi connections (i.e., 192.168.1.6).
4️⃣ Enter the username “scorelink” and the password “scorelink".
5️⃣ Go to the "Network" tab and select "Static Config" for Ethernet connection.
6️⃣ In the opened window tick "Static IP Configuration" box and enter the requested information.
7️⃣ Attentively read the amber warning and click on "Commit Changes".
8️⃣ Before configuration of the device, make sure the software is up to date with the latest release version. To check this go to the "Other" tab and select "Force Update".
To check if the device is updating, click on the "Other" tab again and select "ScoreLink+ Log".
Once completed, the device will reboot itself and when the GUI is refreshed, the software version should match the version shown on the device screen.
9️⃣ On the web page go to the Settings tab and select the scoreboard desired controller from the list. Press the “Load” button and wait for the configuration to finish.
Go back to the home page to display the configuration selected. In this example the selected configuration is "Daktronics Basketball".
