Overview
While ScoreVision primarily uses its own Scorekeeper Apps (running on tablets/phones) to manage the score and drive their video boards, a ScoreLink + extracts the score, time, period, and other critical data, and sends it over the internet or local network to the ScoreVision system.
Requirements
1️⃣ USB to DB9 FTDI compliant cable.
2️⃣ HDMI cable from mac mini to video out source.
3️⃣ Null modem adapter.
ScoreVision display server
- Run ScoreVision display server in the MAC computer where the bot is connected trough the FTDI complaint cable.
ScoreVision System SED display
- The app is a controller.
- The user must have a connected ScoreVision LED video scoreboard or the ScoreVisionLE system (a smart TV setup) in your facility.
ScoreVision Cloud account
- The user will need an active user account with the proper permissions set up in the ScoreVision Cloud management platform.
- The user must be able to log in to the cloud to manage their teams, rosters, and game schedule.
Device requirements
- The scorekeeper app is typically found on the Apple App Store (for iPads/iPhones) and the Google Play Store (for Android tablets/phones).
- ScoreVision recommends using a dedicated tablet (like an iPad) for the smoothest experience.
Installing the ScoreVision app
1️⃣ Open the App Store on the iPad or iPhone.
2️⃣ Tap the Search tab and type "ScoreVision App" (or sometimes "ScoreVision Basketball" for the older, dedicated app).
3️⃣ Look for the app published by ScoreVision, LLC. It often has a logo with a stylized "SV".
4️⃣ Click on Get and confirm the download using the Apple ID password, Face ID, or Touch ID.
5️⃣ Once downloaded, click on Open or locate the app icon on the home screen.
1️⃣ Open Google Play on the Android device.
2️⃣ In the search bar type "ScoreVision App".
3️⃣ Look for the app published by ScoreVision, LLC.
4️⃣ Click on the Install button. The app will download and install automatically.
5️⃣ Once installation is complete, click Open or find the app icon on your device.
