BOTServer Connector Tester – Genius Sports

Functionality

ℹ️BOTServer Connector Tester is a tool used to confirm the bot's connection to the server and check the data being sent by the bot.

Server

ℹ️This app shows the server where the bot is connecting to and the raw data is being sent.

To use it, the following is required:

◾Spotzcast.net account;

◾The bot assigned to your account;

◾Downloaded BOTServer Connector Tester app from sportzcast.net/Account/Downloads.

Once the app is downloaded, use your email as the "User" and the Integration Token from sportzcast.net. Then, select the server to check:

◾scorebot.sportzcast.net: This server is used to test ScorelinkII bots configured as cloud, Scorelink+ and UDS 1100.

◾IP Address of the bot: This server is used to test ScorelinkII bots configured as local and Scorelink+.

⚠️Only use one of these two options as the server. Otherwise, the app will not be able to connect to the bot.

⚠️No matter the server selected, the port used must be 1402, since the Sportzcast system uses this port to connect to our servers and devices.

Supported data formats

It is possible to select the format in which the data will be shown. This program allows to check the data in 3 different formats:

◾ SBData: raw, direct data from the bot; Genius Sports code;

◾ XML;

◾ Json.

Error warning

ℹ️If there's an error with the bot's connection, it will show in the lower command prompt.

Here is where to look for it:

In this example, the bottom line shows the bot's connection status and the server from which information is retrieved. If there's a connection issue, the last line will indicate if the bot is "Disconnected" or if no information is being received.
