Select a tab to get more details on specific parts of the setup process.
The three main categories
The Home tab contains the following information:
◾Version: The installed version of the ScoreConnectIII software.
◾Bot#: Which bot is being used by ScoreConnectIII now and if the bot is Online or Offline.
◾Local IP Address: The bot's IP address. If the bot is used locally, the IP Address is needed for integration.
◾Cloud Connection: If the bot is being connected to the cloud or not.
◾Current ScoreBoard Selection: The ScoreBoard model and sport, with the respective Vendor code and Sport Code (SBVendor and SBCode).
Here is a table of each SBvendor code and SBcode:
Depending on which setting needs to be configured, the following features can be set accordingly:
For Bot Configuration:
◾Find Bots: Open the drop-down menu under "Find Bots" to select the bot to which the configuration will be applied. Make sure to verify the type of bot and choose the integrity of that connection accordingly.
The screenshot shows the example of bot #52637, a POE (Power Over Ethernet) type, which is on the same subnet as the computer.
◾Vendor: In the drop-down menu, search for for the corresponding ScoreBoard controller.
◾Sport: The sports listed in the drop-down menu vary depending on the selected ScoreBoard.
◾Connection Type: Some of the ScoreBoard controllers offer the option to connect either wirelessly or wired. Select accordingly.
◾Configure Decoding: The place where the ScoreBoard controller's information will be decoded (Locally or Cloud). If decoding in the Cloud, make sure that there is an active license. For more information, contact the commercial department.
For Team Configuration:
◾Home Name/Visitor Name: Assignment of names for the team playing as Home and/or Visitor.
1️⃣ ScoreBoard Data Status: Shows if there is data passing by or not. It has 3 options:
- Data is present and in the correct format: The bot is receiving data from the ScoreBoard and is correctly configured for the sport and vendor selected.
- Data is present but not in the correct format: The bot is receiving data from the ScoreBoard, but is not configured correctly in the settings tab. This could also mean the ScoreBoard cable is not correctly attached, which can be verified disconnecting the cable and connecting it again.
- Data is not present: The bot is not receiving any data from the ScoreBoard. This could mean the cable, the bot, or the ScoreBoard controller can be damaged.
2️⃣ Cloud connection: Confirms that there is a connection to our servers.
3️⃣ Local connection streams: Shows if the bot is being used by another program such as Livestats or other visual production programs through a local connection.
4️⃣ Bot configuration in progress: Shows if the bot is being configured or not.
5️⃣ Data: Shows the current data in SB Data format. This can be different depending on the ScoreBoard vendor and sport selected.
The "Other" category
◾After the configuration process described in the Settings section, the bot reboots and the reboot message is shown on the logs. The message "waiting for ScoreLink to connect" indicates that the bot is rebooting.
Once the bot reconnects, it enters command mode and is ready for configuration.
◾Next, use the PIC commands to configure the device's selector chip. This setup ensures the bot receives information from the correct ScoreBoard controller. If configuring for wireless connection, the logs will display both the RF module and PIC configurations.
◾In the last part of the logs, the bot exits command mode and is ready to start streaming information. If set for local decoding in the Settings tab, a message like "Connection Message: MAC*ChipUniqueID*|1.2.1.7|RAW|0|0|0|1|3" will be displayed:
◾Raw Data Capture:
The Start Recording button it will turn into Stop Recording while the recording is in process. Once the recording process is stopped, the Download File button will allow to download the latest capture.
◾Service Management: In this tab there is the option to Restart Service or Reset Settings in the device if the connection is stuck or all configuration needs to be started from scratch.
◾Advanced options: When this option is selected, there is no need for a controller data source. ScoreConnect/ScoreLink+ will automatically emulate a football match and send this data to the bot server.
◾Software updates:
This tab displays if the ScoreConnectIII software has an update available or if it is up to date.
◾Firmware updates:
Verify if the bot has an update either for the Selector chip or the Network chip or if is up to date by clicking on the Check for Update Button.
In the screenshot below, the bot is up to date on the network chip but is not recognizing this version of the selector chip. In this case the Force Update button may be used.
