Sportzcast FAQ

Sportzcast is live scoreboard data sourced directly from the scoreboard to your production environment in real-time.

Our automated workflow tools allow your organization to apply scoreboard data in real-time to various applications, such as:

• broadcast graphic overlays (including integrations into leading major production platforms),
• real-time video annotation and metadata syncing,
• post-production editing systems,
• website scoreboards, and more.

We provide a simple and reliable solution for the most important and difficult part of live sports production – accurate real-time game data.

The scheme below illustrates how the data flows in Sportzcast:

SportzBridge is a custom made ScoreLink bot. It was developed for specific controllers to use Intranet and internet for communication.

ScoreConnectIII is an application developed to make ScoreLink setup faster and easier with the help of a user-friendly interface.

1️⃣ Go to www.sportzcast.net.

2️⃣ Log in to your Sportzcast account.

3️⃣ Go to "USER INFO" tab.

4️⃣ Scroll down to the User Access Token.

2️⃣ Go to "USER INFO" tab.

3️⃣ Scroll down to the bottom of the page to "Integrated Devices".

4️⃣ Click on "Add Integration".

5️⃣ In the New Integration Device window insert the desired unique name of the device.

6️⃣ Click on "Add Integration".

1️⃣ Go to www.sportzcast.net and log in to your Sportzcast account.

2️⃣ Go to "DOWNLOADS" tab.

3️⃣ All the available applications will be listed there.

1️⃣ Connect ScoreLink+ to the venue network via the network port.

2️⃣ Make sure the "eth0" field on the page 1 of the bot's OLED display shows a valid IP address (i.e., 192.168.1.8).

3️⃣ Connect ScoreLink+ to the scoreboard controller using the included multi-interface cable.

4️⃣ Open a web browser and enter the IP address from the page 1 of the bot. (i.e., 192.168.1.8).

5️⃣ Enter the username “scorelink” and password “scorelink”.

6️⃣ On the opened ScoreConnect home page go to "Settings" tab.

7️⃣ Celect the needed "Sport" and "Vendor" (scoreboard controller).

8️⃣ Click on "Load" and wait for the configuration to finish.

The Sportzcast test environment is ProActiveSupport (PSA), that is used to check fixtures, venues, ScoreLink bot details, etc.

1️⃣ Check if bot data is accessible.

2️⃣ Check if bot data is transmitted correctly.

3️⃣ Check if the bot is connecting to servers (fixes are Venue Only).

4️⃣ Check if the bot is powered on (fixes are Venue Only).

1️⃣ Check that power cable is connected correctly.

2️⃣ If the bot has PoE feature, check that the network cable is connected correctly and LAN is capable of PoE.

3️⃣ Make sure the power light is solid green.

4️⃣ Make sure that OLED screen displays the bot information.

1️⃣ The bot is found/online in PSA / ScoreConnectIII / ScoreLink+ / LiveStats.

2️⃣ The server light is blinking green/blue.

Data can be downstreamed via applications below:

• FIBA LiveStats
• NCAA LiveStats
• CFL LiveStats
• MQTT explorer
• Vmix
• LiveXML

When the connection is lost the following error is displayed in FIBA LiveStats:

1️⃣ After seeing the message wait for 2-5 seconds - the system will attempt to reconnect automatically every 2 seconds.

2️⃣ If connection wasn't restored automatically - click on "DISCONNECT".

3️⃣ Confirm that Internet connection is restored and only then click on "CONNECT".

If the following mistake is received, please, follow the steps below:

1️⃣ Open CMD as Admin>netstat -ano | findstr :5000.

2️⃣ Make note of the PID (personal identifier), in this example it's the far-right column - port 58660.

3️⃣ In CMD as Admin taskkill /PID 58660 /F.

4️⃣ Press WIN+R. In the opened window insert: "C:\\ProgramData\Sportzcast". LLC\ScoreConnectIII\files and click on OK.

5️⃣ Delete the settings.json file.

6️⃣ Press WIN+R and in the opened window insert: "services.msc".

7️⃣ Restart ScoreConnectIII service.

1️⃣ In Windows Defendeer Firewall go to "Advanced Settings".

2️⃣Select "Inbound Rules".

3️⃣ Under "Actions" in the top right corner, select "New Rule...".

4️⃣ Under "Rule Type", select "Port". 

5️⃣ Under "Protocols and Ports", tick "TCP" and "Specific local ports: 1400-1410".

6️⃣ Under "Action", select "Allow the connection".

7️⃣ Under "Profile", make sure all 3 boxes ("Domain", "Private", "Public") are ticked.

8️⃣ Under "Name" give the firewall rule a unique name that can be easily recognized/remembered and click on "Finish".

9️⃣ Reboot computer and the bot before trying to connect.
