The following are the steps that need to be taken into account before the start of a game:
If you have a ScoreLink Device:
If you have a Daktronics Rack:
ScoreLink Device - Cloud Connection:
- ScoreLink is hardwired connected to the network, using an ethernet cable.
- TCP Ports 1400 to 1410 are open in the network and ScoreLink's MAC Address is whitelisted. (Please contact your IT Department to help on this)
- ScoreLink is properly connected to the ScoreBoard Controller. Please follow this article.
- Open NCAA LiveStats Application.
- Does NCAA LiveStats request update? If it does, please install it.
- Enter Game Key by clicking in "Enter Game Key" button.
- Paste the Game Key and click on next.
- Connect the Live Score Board Data by clicking on 'Game', then 'System Check'.
- Make sure to select 'Clock Type': Cloud. Type ScoreLink's number, in "Bot Number" Field. Click Connect and 'Save and Confirm'.
- Check the connection status beside the "START PERIOD" button. This should show "CONNECTED".
If it shows 'DISCONNECTED', click it, and click on "Connect Now".
9. Confirm clock and score are matching from the actual scoreboard.
ScoreLink Device - Local Connection:
- ScoreLink is hardwired connected to the same network as the NCAA LiveStats computer.
- TCP Ports 1400 to 1410 are open in the network and ScoreLink's MAC Address is whitelisted. (Please contact your IT Department to help on this).
- ScoreLink is properly connected to the ScoreBoard Controller. Please follow this article.
- Make sure ScoreConnect III is installed in the same computer where NCAA Football Livestats is running. If it is not installed, please check this article.
- Open NCAA LiveStats Application.
- Does NCAA Livestats request update? If it does, install it.
- Enter Game Key by clicking in "Enter Game Key" button.
- Paste the Game Key and click on next.
- Connect the Live scoreboard data by clicking on 'Game' then 'System Check'.
- Make sure to select 'Clock Type': Local. It will pull the data from ScoreConnect III. Click "Connect", then 'Save and Confirm'.
- If you open System Check and you find an issue like the one shown in the picture below, please contact us at sportzcastcs@geniussports.com and inform us about this.
- Check the connection status beside the "START PERIOD" button. If it shows as 'DISCONNECTED' click there, and hit on "Connect Now".
- Confirm clock and score are matching from the actual scoreboard.
Daktronics Rack System - DSTI:
- Configure the DSTI System for SportzCast. Please refer to this article.
- Open NCAA LiveStats Application.
- Does NCAA LiveStats request update? If it does, please install it.
- Enter Game Key by clicking in "Enter Game Key" button.
- Paste the Game Key and click on next.
- Connect the Live Score Board Data by clicking on 'Game', then 'System Check'.
- Make sure to select 'Clock Type': Cloud. Type ScoreLink's number, in "Bot Number" Field. Click Connect and 'Save and Confirm'.
- Check the connection status beside the "START PERIOD" button. This should show "CONNECTED".
If it shows 'DISCONNECTED', click it, and click on "Connect Now".
