Connecting ScoreLink II to scoreboard system
1️⃣ Locate the Scoreboard Interface cable. It is used to connect ScoreLink to the existing scoreboard system.
The cables are color-coded for identification:
2️⃣ Connect the 9-pin connector to the device labeled “SCOREBOARD” and hand tighten the 2 screws to secure the cable.
3️⃣ Connect the other end of the cable to the existing scoreboard system.
The connection to the system can be done in 2 ways:
Connecting at the scoreboard distribution unit (if available) | Connecting to the venue scoreboard controller itself |

Connecting ScoreLink II to the venue network
1️⃣ Locate an active network port to connect the device to.
2️⃣ Connect one end of a standard ethernet cable to the active network port and the other end to the “NETWORK” port on the ScoreLinkII device.
Powering the BOT on
1️⃣ Connect power to the device by connecting the supplied power cable to the “DC 5V” connector & into a standard US power outlet.
2️⃣ Once powered on, the lights on the device will begin to flash.
3️⃣ Optionally, the device can receive power directly via the connected “NETWORK” ethernet cable if the port has “PoE” enabled and the ScoreLink device has the PoE chip.
Installing ScoreConnect III
Create a Sportzcast account or use the existing credentials.
1️⃣ Go to Sportzcast.net and click on Sportzcast User Log In button.
2️⃣ Sign in and go to DOWNLOADS tab in the top bar menu.
3️⃣ Download ScoreConnectIII from the product list.
4️⃣ Locate the downloaded “ScoreConnectIII.msi” program on the PC and double-click the icon to install it.
5️⃣ Follow the steps on the ScoreConnectIII screens to complete the installation.
Configuring settings
1️⃣ The device settings are configured via the web control page. On a PC connected to the same network as the device, open a web browser and enter: http://localhost:5000/
2️⃣ If it is the first time working with ScoreConnectIII and it is a Windows PC, please follow the How to create Windows Firewall Rule for ports 1400-1410 guide from Sportzcast FAQ to open TCP Ports on the Windows Defender Firewall.
3️⃣ Select the Settings tab and click on Find Bots button to locate any available Sportzcast devices in the network.
4️⃣Once the scan is completed, select the needed device within the dropdown options.
5️⃣ In the Configure Scoreboard panel, select the appropriate scoreboard type from the Vendor dropdown list.
6️⃣ From the Sport dropdown select the correct sport.
7️⃣ From the Connection Type dropdown select the correct connection type.
8️⃣ Choose the Decoding type on the Configure Decoding panel:

- Locally: Send raw data to the Local Server in ScoreConnectIII.
- Cloud: Send raw data directly to the BotServer without using ScoreConnectIII.
9️⃣ Click on Submit button to load the configuration to the ScoreLink device.
🔟 The device is now configured.
Powering the BOT on
1️⃣ Power the bot by connecting the provided USB-B cable directly to a computer.
2️⃣ Once connected, the lights on the device will begin to flash.

1️⃣ Go to Sportzcast.net and navigate to the Users tab.
2️⃣ Go to DOWNLOADS.
3️⃣ Download ScoreConnectIII from the product list.
4️⃣ Locate the downloaded “ScoreConnectIII.msi” program and double-click the icon to install it.
5️⃣ Follow the steps on the ScoreConnectIII screens to complete the installation.
Configuring settings

6️⃣ From the Sport dropdown select the correct sport.
7️⃣ From the Connection Type dropdown select the correct connection type.
8️⃣ Under Configure Decoding select Local Connection by ticking Locally.
9️⃣ Click on Submit button to load the configuration to the ScoreLink device.
🔟 The device is now configured.
