When a technical foul is charged to the offense, NLS will properly charge a turnover to the player (or team) as well. This is correct and necessary so that the opposing team can gain possession of the ball in order to shoot the technical free throws. It's not possible to shoot free throws without possession.
However, when there is a double technical and no free throws are shot, then no turnovers should be charged. We are working on making this correction in the software, but until then this is the workaround entry to charge a double technical without the charged turnovers. (See linked video).
1. Charge technical foul to Defensive player. Choose "No Free Throws"
2. Manually change the BALL indicator to the other team
3. Charge technical foul to the Opposing player. Choose "No Free Throws"
4. Manually change the BALL indicator back to the original team.
If the user failed to enter the double technical fouls correctly during live action, this is the procedure to correct it in the Action Log and remove the false turnovers. (See linked video).
1. Delete both technical fouls.
2. Insert a technical foul to the defensive team with the proper timestamp.
3. Find a location in the Action Log where the other team is on defense. Insert the other technical foul there.
4. Re-open the second technical foul and edit the timestamp to match the first and NCAA LiveStats will order the plays properly.
