We have a narrated training game available for you to practice NLS for Soccer in a real-life scenario. Here's how to access this.
1. Launch NCAA LiveStats for Soccer - you can download it here
2. Go to NCAA LiveStats, click on HELP -- Download New Training Game. Paste that Training Game Key in the box, and hit Save. This will download and populate all of the rosters and game setup information.
NOTE: You need to be in TEST mode for this to work (the menu should be orange colored). If you are NOT in the orange test mode, go to SETTINGS-- Environment -- Test, and hit SAVE.
4. NCAA LiveStats will take you through a series of setup menus. Take a look at the information that is available. Most everything you need will already be in place, but you are able to change anything if you want. Click the “Save and Confirm” button to progress through the menus.
Please note:
POSSESSION TIME and FIELD LOCATION:
One of the new features of NCAA LiveStats for Soccer is the ability to track possession time and field location percentage.
Once the game starts, you will see four zones set up on the field. Throughout the game, do your best to indicate which team has the ball, and which zone they are in. The more accurate you are with your clicking, the better your stats will be.
When ball possession changes, you can either click the appropriate Possession button, or use the TAB key to toggle between the teams.
With regards to ball possession - assume that the team currently with possession retains possession until the other team clearly has control of the ball.
Please watch this short video for a full explanation of how to best handle this.
