NCAA LiveStats for Volleyball permits the user to track substitutions in two different modes. To switch between the two modes, choose "Substitution" under the Settings menu...
Then choose Full Substitution On or Off...
FULL SUBS OFF
- Full Subs Off requires the user to record when each player enters a set for the first time. In this mode, all players who have participated in the set will be shown on the playing floor.
- Set starters (outlined in Red) will be shown on the court, always in numerical order
- The libero(s) (outlined in Green) will be shown on the top sideline
- Set substitutions (outlined in Orange) will be shown on the bottom sideline, always in numerical order. If a set has a large number of subs the icons will squeeze together, and if necessary reduce their size to make sure all subs fit.
- In Full Subs Off mode there is no need to indicate which player leaves the floor, and there is no need to indicate when the libero leaves or enters.
- If a substitution enters the set, leaves the set and then re-enters, there is no need to indicate them again.
- Full Subs Off mode is designed to account just for participation in each set.
FULL SUBS ON
- Full Subs On requires the user to record every substitution and libero switch. In this mode, only the six players actually on the playing floor will be shown on the screen. This is the preferred mode if you have scoreboards or stats displays that only list the exact six players on the floor.
- The six current players on the court (outlined in Red) will be shown, always in numerical order
- The libero(s) (outlined in Green) will be marked with an L
- All players currently on the bench will be shown in the Substitution List
- In Full Subs On mode, the user is required to indicate every sub and every libero switch so that the six players actually on the court are represented on the software.
- When the libero is on the floor, the player who switched with the libero will be marked with the libero's jersey number on their player icon.
