Main integration scheme
Setting up ScoreLink
2. Plug in the Internet (LAN) cable. If it's connected properly, the green and yellow lights will start blinking around the cable.
|
1. Take the scoreboard interface cable. You may use your own cable or the one that is provided with the ScoreLink device. The type of the cable provided with the ScoreLink device will depend on your venue setup - whether the junction box is used or not.
2. Connect one end of the 9-pin connector to the ScoreLink device and hand-tighten the two screws to secure the cable. Connect the other end of the cable to your scoreboard controller.
There are two ways to connect to the venue system:
At the scoreboard distribution unit (if available) - which is typically located within an equipment rack inside the venue. Connect the other end of the scoreboard interface cable to an available “output” port. Depending on your scoreboard type and installation options, a custom interface cable might be required.
As a backup option - locate a spare output port on the venue scoreboard controller and connect the other end of the 9-pin interface cable.
1. Locate an active network port to connect your device to.
2. Connect one end of a standard Ethernet cable to the active network port and the other end to the “NETWORK” port on the ScoreLink device.
ScoreLinkII device can be powered either directly via the connected “NETWORK” Ethernet cable if the port has enabled POE, or via the supplied standard 5V power supply cable (12V for ScoreLink+):
a. To utilize POE (Power over Ethernet) for power, ensure that the Ethernet cable port has POE enabled.
b. To utilize power supply cable - connecting one end of the supplied power xable to the connector, and the other end - to a standard power outlet.
If the port is powered, the lights at the bottom of the device will start flashing.Example of integration
