Volleyball Statistical Microsite - General Overview

    This Guide provides a general overview of the Volleyball Statistical Microsite page and possible widgets.

     

    Statistical Volleyball Microsite is a website template containing a broad collection of widgets that showcase selected data of a federation or league for fan engagement purposes. The reflected data originates from the Web Competition Manager, e-Scoresheet or DataVolley. Based on the custom client needs, the Microsite can contain the following sub-pages and/or widgets:

    Current Season / Competition selector (home page)

    Ability to select Current Season and Competition. Multiple competitions of one Federation can be displayed within the microsite.

    All-time Milestone widget (home page) 

    Ability to set up and display all-time Milestone widget:

    • Number of Aces
    • Number of Points scored
    • Number of matches played
    • Number of sets played
    • Number of matches won
    • Number of sets played

    Displays progression towards the milestone, player number, photo, name and club. On click navigates to the player profile page.

    Match schedule widget (home page) 

    Match schedule displayed in horizontal widget:

    • Date
    • Time
    • Teams

    On click navigates to match profile (pre-match stage).

    Photo Gallery widget (home page) 

    Ability to display the latest photo albums. On click navigates to the full photo album.

    News widget (home page) 

    Ability to display the latest news article thumbnails. On click navigates to the news article.

    Leaderboards widget (home page) 

    Displays ranking leaders in several statistical categories:

    • Best Scorer
    • Best Server
    • Best Blocker
    • Reception - positivity %
    • Attack - excellent %

    Click on “Complete ranking” and it navigates to the full ranking list page. Click on the player photo and it navigates to the player profile page.

    Dream Team widget (home page) 

    Displays a theoretical team of the best players of each position on the court. It is based on statistical category leaders of the full season. Click on the player photo and it navigates to the player profile page.

    Standings widget (home page) 

    Displays a simple/ small version of the standings table:

    1. Rank
    2. Team name/ logo
    3. Points

    Click on the logo, and it navigates to the Team Information page.

    Teams widget (home page) 

    Displays logotypes of teams participating in the competition. Click on the logo, and it navigates to the Team Information page. It can be found at the bottom of the page.

    Match schedule page

    Full competition match schedule (past and upcoming matches) grouped by match day. Ability to filter by Team. Match schedule page contains:

    • Date
    • Time
    • Venue
    • Teams
    • Score (for finalized matches)
    • Referees
    • Link to Video (if available)
    • Link to the Photo Gallery (if available)

    Click on the match, and it navigates to the match statistics.

    Match profile page

    Detailed match page containing:

    • Scoreboard widget:
      1. Date/Time/Local time
      2. Venue
      3. Attendance (spectators)
      4. Referees
      5. Teams
      6. Score
      7. Score by set
    • Link to the Video (if available)
    • Link to the Photo Gallery (if available)
    • Before the Match sub-page:
      1. Players comparison:
        • Best Scorer
        • Best Spiker
        • Best Blocker
        • Best Server
        • Best Receiver

    Displays detailed player and team statistics. Sub-pages include:

    1. Best players per position based on stats (Best players)
    2. Team overall statistics (Team recap)
    3. Team statistics by match (Team details)

    Lists history of competitions. On click navigates to a specific competition microsite.

    Section where GameTracker is displayed for live matches. 

     

    There are two main ways to utilize Volleyball Statistical Microsite:

    1. Use the whole Microsite as a stand-alone with the generic URL. Example: here.
    2.  Embed the selected widgets/sub-pages via the IFrame. Example here.


    If the above-mentioned Volleyball Statistical Microsite does not fulfil customers' needs, there is an alternative to using the existing LiveStream and Administrative APIs. In such a way, the Federation can leverage raw pre-match or live in-match data for its custom-developed visual products.
