1. Placement
Side on camera (Volleyball and Basketball)
- Height - it should be higher than the distance from the closest sideline.
- Closest sideline - should be at least 8 meters away for both volleyball and basketball. Alignment with the sideline should be done while aligning with the GeniusLive Support & Implementation team on Skype.
- Accessible only with the ladder.
- There should be no objects in front of the camera.
- The first referee should be seen from the front (optional).
End on camera (only Volleyball)
- Height - it should be higher than the distance from the closest backline.
- Closest backline - should be at least 6 meters away.
- Accessible only with the ladder.
- There should be no objects in front of the camera.
- Camera alignment has to be parallel to the sideline.
- Court has to be centered in the camera view.
- The phone securely mounted, to a surface that will not vibrate during the game.
- The phone in the casing should be placed horizontally.
2. Installation
2.1. Tools for installation and camera case parts

2.2. Mounting the base plate
Make holes in the wall with a 6 mm drill. mount the base plate on the wall using the screws you received with a package. Remove the black screws from the base plate. These will be used later to mount the cylinder part to the base plate.
2.3. Preparing the case
Slide the phone into the very end of the cylinder. Note that the back camera of the phone should be on the side of the big hole in the cylinder. The cooling fan cable should be on the side of the mobile phone screen.

Put the cooling fan cable through the cylinder's lid. Seal the case by spinning the lid.

2.4. Mounting the cylinder case on the base plate
Put the holding brackets on the top of the cylinder case. Use 4 black screws to tighten the cylinder. Please note that before fully tightening the screws you should contact the Sports Onboarding team to ensure that camera is positioned and aligned correctly.
3. Connecting cables for the phone
1. Cooling fan and power cable 2. Microphone 3. USB-C splitter 4. Double socket |
Connect the cables as described in the list below:
- Connect USB-C splitter to phone.
- Connect microphone and phones power cable to USB-C splitter.
- Connect the cooling fan and power cable to the double socket.
- Clip the microphone to the cable.
- Place the microphone as far away from cooling fan as possible to avoid possible noise from the cooling fan.
- Finally, plug in the power outlet.
4. Network set-up

4.2. When venue DOES have internet
Connect the cables as described in the list below:
- Connect venues internet modem to "Edge router" via Ethernet cable. Use the ETH0 port.
- Connect "Edge router" to "Unifi POE" via ethernet cable. Connect ETH4 port to LAN port.
- Connect "Unifi POE" to "Unifi access point". Connect the PEO port to the Main port.
4.3. When venue DOESN'T have internet
The 4G router will be used to provide internet for the phones during the stream. It will get the internet via SIM card.

Connect the cables as described in the list below:
- Connect "4G router" to "Unifi POE" via ethernet cable. Connect LAN port to LAN port.
- Connect "Unifi POE" to "Unifi access point". Connect the PEO port to the Main port.
Note: The access point must have a blue light on (see image below):
