4. PRE-stream checklist
The phone needs to be connected to a charger throughout the whole stream. Don't rely on the battery. Before the stream, the phone has to be fully charged up to 100%.
The phone is connected to "GeniusLiveTV" Wi-Fi. For more information check the Network requirements article.
The phone microphone is plugged in. This is necessary to capture sound in the feed - the mobile phone's own microphone is not sufficient.
The phone needs to be installed 24 hours before the start of the match:

Steps to follow when streaming a match
Before the season starts:
- The onboarding team will reach out to POCs via Skype or email (if the Skype channel has not yet been activated) to arrange a date for the phone setup. This setup must be scheduled on weekdays.
- Once the phone configuration has been completed, the venue will be marked as "Ready," and from that point forward, communication will be between the POCs and the Support team.
- Note: Unlike the Onboarding team, the Support team operates 24/7, so POCs can contact them at any time. This communication must be done through the Skype channel: https://join.skype.com/invite/p3NfZ8bu7HRW
During the season:
- On match day, the Support team will contact the POC in advance to check the phone connection. The POC will respond when available, preferably between one and two hours before kickoff.
- If the Support team encounters any issues that could prevent the match from being streamed, they will inform the POC, who, within their possibilities and schedule, may assist in resolving the issue.
- Once everything is set up, the Support team will notify the POC that we are ready to begin streaming the match.
- Advice: Please note that during weekends, our support team handles a high workload, which may result in them not having enough time to send the initial message to check the phone. If this happens, please reach out to them before the match starts to ensure everything is set up correctly.
Tips before a match:
- Make sure that the batteries of the phones are at 100% when the stream starts.
- Make sure the phone is connected to the charger all the time. Check the position of the camera.
- Check the internet connection (must be connected to GeniusLive.TV). Make sure there is nothing obstructing the view.
- Never update the Android version (keep it on Android 9).
For a match to be streamed, the event must be created by the federations in the Web Competition Manager. This information is then collected and categorized in our internal tools. On the day of the match, our internal tools initiate a series of processes to enable streaming.
Thirty minutes before the start of the match, if the phone is turned on and connected to the internet, it will automatically begin streaming. Once the match has ended, our system will receive this information and the phone will automatically stop streaming.
Even if the phones are turned on and connected to the internet, they will not stream unless a match is scheduled to take place. This is because there is no internal process triggering the phone to start streaming in the absence of a scheduled event.
