Shot |
A shot is an attempt that is taken with the intent of scoring and is directed toward the goal. |
Shot On Target | A shot on target is a shot that is on the net. Woodwork shots are not considered shots on target. A shot on target must be either saved by the goalkeeper or a goal. A shot on target blocked by a field player is a Blocked Shot. |
Shot Off-Target | A shot off-target is a shot that is not on the net, be it on woodwork (independently on whether the ball lands back into the pitch or goes out of bounds) or outside the goal. |
Blocked Shot | A shot, on the net or not, that is blocked by a field player, usually a defending player. |
